Colorado Springs to Ouray 260 Miles
In Colorado Springs I stayed at some good friends house. Mark and Sarah planned a little Friday night get together and I got the chance to see friends from Colorado that I hadn’t seen in 8 years. I stayed for several days, completed a 12K maintenance on my bike and changed the tire. Monday morning I headed out for Ouray and on my way home.
I headed out on Highway 24, over Wilkerson pass and through South Park to Buena Vista.
Instead of heading down towards Salida, I decided to cross over Cottonwood pass and down through Taylor park to Gunnison.
One side is paved and the other side is dirt.
Passed Taylor Park I headed down to Gunnison on Highway 135 and then 50 towards Ouray which is my final destination for the night.
I arrived into Ouray in the evening, got a room, ate dinner and soaked in the Hot Springs.
